Stuck in the middle of the hall, the roof starting to leak and not having an umbrella with you? Just build a shelter and you will survive the night!

We came together with hundreds of other cub scouts, scouts and venturer scouts from groups all over southern Sydney for a weekend of activities, socializing and entertainment at the Cataract Scout Camp. And in-between the camp fire was the most visited place.

Andrew, Sophie and Elise got their Grey Wolf award today, the peak award for Cub scouts.

Give a cub scout a flint-and-steel and some wood, and they’ll make a fire suitable for roasting marshmallows!

Together with Cub Scouts from 2nd Caringbah and Alcheringa we hiked to the Lake Eckersley arm of the Woronora river.

The Grey Wolf hike is part of the Grey Wolf Award, the highest badge available for Cub Scouts. This hike went from Cronulla by ferry to Bundeena to the cave houses at the Balconies to Jibbon Point back to the ferry. Elise

Cuboree is a three yearly camp for Cub Scouts from all over NSW. This October long weekend we had five days of activities at Cataract Scout camp, together with 1600 other cub scouts and 1100 leaders and scouts, venturers and activity guides.

On 10 September the cubs went to investigate the Old Otford Railway Tunnels, an abandoned railway track and tunnel going from Stanwell Beach to Otford. Ethan, venturer of 2nd Caringbah, helped out as part of his volunteering / personal development badge.

On 28 August Andrew, Conrad, Elise, Emma, Henry, Joshua and Rylan went canoeing from Prince Edward park to the Bonnet Bay.
